    House breaking

Hi all. I'm brand new to this. I have 2 pitt bulls and a chi. I am having all kinds of trouble house breaking all of them. My chi was doing good until I got the bull dogs. I knew before I got the bullies that they were very hard headed, I just didn't know HOW bad it could truly be. The problems come at night. Crating is almost impossible seeing how the bullies are over a year old. Any time I have tried to crate them it ends with them whining and screaming to be let out. They will not wake me up at night to be taken out. I know this should be an easy problem to fix. And believe me, I feel like a moron for having to ask for help on something so small. Truth is that I've tried EVERYTHING to stop this behavior. If anyone has ANY information that would help I would be forever grateful. Thank you for taking time to read this.

House breaking can be a real pain in the butt sometimes.  I have 2 King Charles Spaniels and it actually got easier once I got my second one.  The first one is a girl and she would just squat at her leisure and pee in the house (even though she knew she was naughty).  Once I got the boy, he actually was good about going out in the fenced yard and now, the girl seems to follow his lead...thank goodness!

whoever told you this would be an easy problem to fix lied! As far as crating the dogs don't stop! be consistent...it's torture to hear them whining but in the end you all win. maybe try taking them for a walk before bed time. 30 minutes will do wonders for a dog (a little longer for some dogs). this puts the dog in a calm submissive mind set and it will make the crates alot more appealing for them. if they are having accidents in there crate then start waking up twice a night, set your alarm, to take them to go potty. when you take them out make sure you tell them "Go potty" so they learn what you want. if you do this each night you will see the differnce. at petco they sell pee sticks. you stick them in your yard and the dogs find them and learn oh this is where i am supposed to pee. don't get discouraged you can do it!

*make sure that you clean the soiled spots REALLY good. otherwise they will go there again.
