What is PawPlace.com?

PawPlace.com is an online community for people to meet, mingle, and make friends. This is an interactive gathering site which allows everyone, whether they be pet aficionados, students, or parents, to contribute information about whats going on around town. Think of it as a virtual park that allows you to meet new friends, network, and find out things you never knew.

How much does it cost?

PawPlace.com is FREE to use (Excluding our Slick Pic photo customization portion). All you have to do is sign up to be a member. Simply create your personalized username and password to gain access to the site. See 'How much is Slick Pic photo customization' for current pricing of that section.

Do I have to be a pet owner to be a member of PawPlace.com?

No. PawPlace.com is a welcoming community for everyone, regardless of pet ownership. If you do own a pet, we would love for you to include them in your profile, but non-pet owners will be able to enjoy all that PawPlace.com has to offer. If you are in the market for a new pet, use the free PawPlace services to find a pet within our City Guide or Pet Store sections (see below for information on the City Guide and Pet Store).

What is a PawPrint?

Your PawPrint is your personal profile on PawPlace.com for social networking. Once you have registered, you will be directed to create your PawPrint in the 'Edit' portion of your profile. Here, you have the opportunity to tell people a little about yourself, download pictures/videos of yourself & any pets (if you have them), answer the fun PawPrint questions and manage your profile content. Once you have created your PawPrint profile, you can go on your page to make announcements, read comments from friends, search for other members to start a conversation and add to your pack. Be creative and stand out in the park!

What is My Pack?

My Pack is your spot to add your friends to your PawPrint. In order to add someone to your pack, go to their PawPrint and click on 'Add as friend' located in the options box at right hand part of their page. That member will be notified that you would like them to be in your pack and they can either accept or decline. If they accept, both of you will be in the other's pack. Once friends are added to your pack, clicking on their icon will take you directly to their PawPrint profile.

What is the City Guide?

The City Guide is an interactive search tool for pet owners that allows you to look for Veterinarians, pet-friendly venues or services in your area, and to post cool spots that you think other pet owners would like. Enter your zip code and a desired radius and choose which services you would like to find. You can also add a review to a submission as well as rate it. We ask that people give detailed reviews/ratings of any locations that they have visited so that users can benefit from other members' firsthand experiences. If you run a pet service, you can promote your business through your PawPrint profile and City Guide sections.

What is the Pet Store?

The Pet Store is PawPlace.com's classified section where you can purchase a pet, post an ad for pets in need of a new home, or link up with another breeder to find that perfect mate for your pet in Breeders Central.

What are 4-Ums (Forums)?

Our 4-Ums section is the place to read about and post your questions or opinions on a wide array of subject matters. You may choose from either people or pet related topics. Feel free to add related pictures or video to your postings. Note: you must be signed in to post in the 4-Ums.

What is PuppyLove at Pawplace.com?

PuppyLove at PawPlace.com is a unique dating site for people at least 18 years of age. Join PuppyLove and fill out a fun profile about yourself. These are not just run-of-the-mill questions, but rather intriguing situational conversation starters that will have you eager to find out what others wrote for their responses. Have fun and be yourself. Its the best way to find what you're really looking for in a mate.

How much is PuppyLove at PawPlace.com?

PuppyLove at PawPlace.com is FREE. However, you must be registered and signed in to PawPlace.com to access it. Please note that PuppyLove at PawPlace.com is intended for people at least eighteen (18) years of age.

What is Slick Pic?

Slick pic is the fun and easy-to-use photo customization section, exclusively on PawPlace.com. Here you can bring your ordinary snapshots to life by adding a wide array of icons, as well as text boxes and thought bubbles with an easy to use drag and drop interface. This is a great way to spice up your Facebook or MySpace photos. You can also send your customized picture via e-mail, or download it to save or print.

How much is Slick Pic photo customization?

Slick Pic is available for a very low rate of $3.99 per month, with a no-hassle monthly auto renewal. This will give you unlimited access to create as many custom photos as you would like. There is no long-term contract, so you can quit at any time. Check out the Terms & Conditions for details.

What are Blogs?

Blogs are Web Logs (an online diary of sorts) comprised of thoughts and opinions on various topic matters. Here at PawPlace.com, we have bloggers that opine on either people or pet related topics. Make sure to check out the Blog section to get the latest scoops and voice your opinions to our bloggers.

Only members of PawPlace.com can respond to each of our blogger's postings. These posts are continuously being updated, so check back frequently.

What is the Glamshot Winner?

The Glamshot Winner is located on the main page, and represents the pet that received the most votes to win the Glamshot for the previous month. You may vote for the Glamshot Winner by visiting other peoples' PawPrints, and clicking on their pet(s) profile. To cast your vote, click the 'Vote for Glamshot' button located at the top of the pet profile. The pet with the most votes will be displayed on the front page of PawPlace.com for the entire month!

PAWPRINT QUESTIONS

How do I get started?

In order to create your PawPrint, simply click on 'Register.' Then, create your username and password, and your set. You're now ready to start creating your personalized PawPrint. To start, click 'Edit' at the top of any page. Select the tabs along the top section of your 'Edit' page to fill out each section of your PawPrint. After making any changes, be sure to scroll to the bottom of the page, and click 'Save.' This will update your profile (PawPrint). Click 'My PawPrint' to view your most up-to-date version.

What is an avatar?

An Avatar is how other people on PawPlace will recognize you. You can upload a picture of something that represents you or your personality.

How do I upload an Avatar (Main Picture) to my PawPrint?

Go to your 'Edit' page. Your first tab is 'PawPrint Options.' When you are on that tab, make sure 'Enable Avatar' is selected to 'Yes.' Then, click 'Browse' to select a picture or an Avatar to represent you. Click 'Update.' Finally, click 'Save' at the bottom of the page.

How do I upload pictures to My Pictures in my PawPrint?

Click on 'My Pawprint' (in the light blue writing on the upper right part of your screen). This will bring you to your main PawPrint page. From here, scroll down to 'My Pictures,' and click 'Upload Pictures' on the right side of the green bar. Then click 'Browse' to select the image you would like to upload. Finally, click 'Add File.' The image you selected will be added to your picture gallery. Repeat this process to add more pictures. You can categorize your pictures into different folders by clicking 'Add Folder.'

How do I add my pet(s) to my PawPrint?

You can create a profile for each pet that you have. Click Edit, and select the 'My Pets' tab. Click 'Add a Pet' to start creating your pet's profile. Here you can select a picture to be displayed as your pet's main image, and fill out their profile questions. Note: you may add additional pictures to your pet's profile once it has been created (see 'How do I upload pictures of my pet(s)?' below).

How do I upload pictures of my pet(s)?

Once you have created a pet profile (see 'How do I create a profile for my pet?' above), you may add additional pictures of them in their own photo gallery. Go to your main profile page by clicking 'My PawPrint' at the top of your screen. Then scroll down to My Pets, and select the pet that you would like to add pictures to. Click 'Pet Pictures' to open their photo gallery. Here, you can add pictures by clicking 'Browse,' selecting the picture that you would like to upload from your computer, and then selecting 'Save Image.' Repeat this process to add more pictures to your pets photo gallery.

How do I change my pets main picture?

The main pictures (or avatars) for either you or your pet(s) must be changed under the 'Edit' link at the top of your screen. To change your pet's main picture, select the 'My Pets' tab, and click on 'Edit' next to the pet you wish to update. Click 'Browse' to select an image, and then click 'Save Image.' Dont forget to click 'Save' at the bottom of the page to confirm the changes to your PawPrint.

How do I upload video to my PawPrint?

Click 'Edit.' Under the 'PawPrint Options' tab, you will see the 'Bio' section. Click the 'Insert Media' icon along the top tool bar of the 'Bio.' Here you can copy and paste the media location of the video that you would like to add (such as YouTube, for example). Make sure you click 'Save' at the bottom of the page to save any changes that you make to your PawPrint.

How do I remove a photo from my PawPrint?

Click on 'My PawPrint,' and then click on 'My Pictures.' Under each photo is a 'Delete' option. Once you click on this, you will be asked if you are sure. Once you click 'OK,' the picture will be deleted.

How do I remove a video from my PawPrint?

Click 'Edit.' Under the 'Bio' section you will see an embed code that looks like: (View:http://www.youtube.com/watch?...). This is the link to the video on your PawPrint. Delete this link to remove the video.

How do I change my primary photo (Avatar) on my PawPrint?

See 'How do I upload an Avatar (Main Picture) to my PawPrint?' above.

How do I change my Pet's primary picture?

Click 'Edit,' and then select the 'My Pets' tab. Select the pet that you wish to update, and click 'Edit.' From there, you will be able to upload a new photo, which will act as that pet's primary image. Once uploaded, click 'Save Pet,' and then click 'Save' at the bottom of the page.

How do I add friends to My Pack?

When viewing a member's PawPrint that you want to add to your Pack, click on 'Add as a friend' under the 'Options' on the right side of the page in the green shaded box on their PawPrint Page. That person will then get an e-mail asking them if they would like to add you as a friend. Once they click OK, you will both be added to each other's Pack. To see if someone has requested you to be a friend, click on 'My Pack' on your PawPrint, then select 'Requests to Review.' Here you will see any pending friendship requests, and you can either accept or deny them. If you have entered an e-mail address during registration, then you will also get a friend request sent to that e-mail address.

What is the My Pictures section for?

My Pictures is your area to upload images for your PawPrint. Think of it as your digital photo album on PawPlace.com.

What is an RSS Feed?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) allows new information from PawPlace.com (such as postings on your PawPrint) to be sent to another location, such as your e-mail address or smart phone. You may also syndicate postings from your favorite websites (such as the latest news or your favorite sports teams) to display on your PawPrint. This allows you to customize your PawPrint with information that is unique to you.

How do I obtain an RSS Feed web address?

Many sites offer RSS Feeds, such as news sites or sports teams. To obtain an RSS Feed address, click on 'RSS' from your favorite site:

Then, copy the web address from your browser. Finally, paste that web address into the 'Shared Feeds' section of your PawPrint Options (on your Edit page). See 'How do I add an RSS feed to my PawPrint?' below.

How do I add an RSS Feed to my PawPrint?

Click 'Edit,' and scroll down on your 'PawPrint Options' tab. Near the bottom of that page, you will see 'Shared Feeds' and 'RSS Feeds (one per line).' Here, you can paste in the web addresses for the RSS feeds that you would like linked to your PawPrint (see 'How do I obtain an RSS Feed web address?' above).

What are wild cards with regard to searching PawPrints?

A wild card is a search tool to help a person simplify searches, especially when there are multiple word choices for a similar thing. As an example, the asterisk (*) or the percent symbol (%) can be used to search for words that have the same or additional characters as the entry (if you wanted to search for any of the terms collegiate, college, colleges, etc. then you could type in colleg*).

How do I check for Messages from other users?

If you enable your personal e-mail (click 'Edit,' then select the 'Site Options' tab), then you will receive notifications and e-mails in your personal e-mail account. You can also click on 'Inbox' at the top of any page to check for new private messages from other members. Comments from other members can be seen as part of your PawPrint under 'Message Board.'

What are Announcements?

Announcements are postings that you publish on your PawPrint for everyone to see. These postings will appear on your PawPrint under 'My Announcements,' so tell your friends about upcoming parties, events, or the happenings in your world here!

What is 'Web Address' under PawPrint Options?

This feature allows you to enter a website address that will subsequently appear as a link on your Pawprint. If you have a website that you would like others to visit, enter it here.

What is 'Blog' under PawPrint Options?

This feature allows you to enter a blog address that will subsequently appear as a link on your Pawprint. If you have a blog that you would like others to visit, enter it here.

What is 'Gallery' under PawPrint Options?

This feature allows you to enter a link to an online picture service that you may be using (i.e. Shutterfly, Flickr) that will appear as a link on your PawPrint. This saves you the step of transferring pictures from these sites onto your PawPrint.

INSTANT MESSENGER QUESTIONS

Does PawPlace.com have an Instant Messenger?

Yes! Once you have registered and signed in, you will see blue colored links on the upper right portion of your screen. Simply click on 'Instant Messenger' to open a window to start your chat.

How do I determine who my contacts are?

Your contacts in the Instant Messenger are based on your friends who you add to your Pack in your PawPrint (your profile). See 'How do I add friends to My Pack?' for information on that.

Can I add a contact to my Instant Messenger who is not in My Pack?

Yes. Click on 'Instant Messenger,' and look for the contact box on the left side of your screen. Click the 'Add Contact' icon next to the search bar. Here, you will have to type in the username of the person who you would like to add. Note: Their username is different from their display name. Usernames are shown under the 'My Activity' bar at the bottom of a person's PawPrint.

How do I know who is online now?

Once you click on 'Instant Messenger,' a chat window will open with a list of everyone in your Pack. Your friends will be organized into two groups: those that are Online and those that are Offline. You may start a chat with any of your friends that are online.

Can I send an IM to someone who is offline?

Yes. However, they will not retrieve that message until they log in and sign on to Instant Messenger.

What is a Nudge?

A nudge is a way to send an alert to a friend who you are chatting with. Their screen will shake a bit and make a noise. You may want to use this if your friend is taking too long to respond to you.

What if I want to communicate with a friend who is offline?

PawPlace.com offers you a few options for communicating with a friend who is offline:

1. You may send them a private message by going to their PawPrint and clicking 'Send a Private Message to ...' They can retrieve this note the next time they are online at PawPlace and click on their Inbox.

2. You may post a comment on their message board by going to their PawPrint and clicking 'Post on Display Name's Message Board' This will be a public message that everyone can see posted on their Message Board.

3. You may send them an e-mail by going to their PawPrint and clicking 'Send an email.' Your friend will get your message sent directly to the e-mail account that they registered with at PawPlace.com.

Can I change my status (online, offline, etc.)?

Yes. Once you have clicked on 'Instant Messenger,' you will see your contact list to the left with your name on top.Click your name with the down arrow next to it, and you can change your status to any of the following: Online, Away, Busy, or Invisible. You may also 'Sign Out' or 'Change Display Name' here (see below).

Can I change my display name in Instant Messenger?

Yes. Once you have clicked on 'Instant Messenger,' you will see your contact list to the left with your name on top. Click your name with the down arrow next to it, and select 'Change Display Name.' A text box will open, and you can type in your new display name.

Can I add a tag line to my name in Instant Messenger?

Yes. After signing in to PawPlace.com and clicking on 'Instant Messenger,' your contacts will appear in a box on the left side of your screen. Under your name, click 'Enter a Personal Message.' Here, you can type a message or tag line that will appear under your name when chatting with others.

Can I create different chat groups?

Yes. Once inside Instant Messenger, you will see your contacts in a box on the left side of your screen. Click on the second icon from the left under your name and personal message/tag line (if applicable). This icon allows you to create a group. After clicking this, you will be prompted to type a name for your new group. Click 'OK.' See 'How do I add friends to a group?' below.

How do I add friends to a group?

Once you have created a group in Instant Messenger, you can organize your contacts by group name. To do this, right click on the contact that you would like to move. The last option at the bottom of the list will show 'Move to group >.' Select the group that you would like to place that contact in, and they will be organized accordingly.

Can I change the name of my chat groups in Instant Messenger?

Yes, except for the Default group. Right click on the group name in your contact box inside Instant Messenger. You will be prompted to type the name of the group. Click 'OK.' Note: you can not change the name of, or delete your Default group.

How do I delete a chat group in Instant Messenger?

Once you have created a group in Instant Messenger, you may rename it or delete in altogether. Right click on the group you would like to delete, and select 'Delete Group' from the drop down menu. Note: you can not delete your Default group. For information on naming or renaming groups, see 'Can I change the name of my chat groups in Instant Messenger?' above.

How do I view my message history?

Once inside Instant Messenger, click on the third icon from the left in your contact box on the left side of your screen. The icons are located under your name and personal message/tag line within that box. After clicking this icon, a box will appear displaying previous messages. You may delete these by clicking 'Delete All' within the Message History box.

Can I change the avatar picture size of my contacts within Instant Messenger?

Yes. Once inside Instant Messenger, click on the fourth icon on your contact box on the left side of your screen. The icons are located under your name and personal message/tag line within that box. Once you click that icon, you may select from small, medium, or large picture sizes for your contacts.

How do I block certain contacts from messaging me?

For those contacts whom you wish to block from messaging you, right click over their name in the contact box in Instant Messenger and select 'Block User.' You may also delete the contact by selecting 'Remove Contact.'

Although there is absolutely no requirement to be a pet owner, most of us share a common interest in pets which gives PuppyLove members an initial common bond. Our profile questions are fun as well as telling, so you can get a realistic look into the character of those whom you are interested in meeting.

Is it safe?

Just as in any dating situation, you need to use common sense and good judgment when online dating. Make sure that youre not pressured into doing anything that you dont want to. The idea here is to really get to know each other, which is the basis for any successful relationship.

OK, so how do I subscribe?

Simple. Just register for FREE on PawPlace.com by clicking 'Register' on the main page, and selecting your username and password. If you are already registered, click on 'PuppyLove.' Once you verify that you are at least eighteen (18) years of age, you are free to fill out your PupyLove profile.

How do I create a profile?

Once youre signed in, click on 'Edit' at the top of any page, and select the 'PuppyLove' tab.Try to answer all of the questions fully. These questions are designed to get you thinking and to have others wonder what your responses might be. So, be creative. You can also upload pictures and video (Please see 'How do I upload pictures/video to my PuppyLove profile?' below). Please remember to keep it clean. When youre ready, click 'Save' at the bottom of the page.

How do I upload pictures to my PuppyLove profile?

Click 'My PuppyLove,' and scroll down to select 'My Pictures.' Here you can upload pictures by clicking the 'Browse' button, and selecting the image you would like to upload. Go ahead and repeat the process to add more pictures.

How do I upload a video to my PuppyLove profile?

Click 'Edit.' Under the 'PuppyLove' tab, you will see the 'A Little Bit About Myself' section. Click the 'Insert Media' icon along the top tool bar of the 'A Little Bit About Myself.' Here you can copy and paste the media location of the video that you would like to add (such as YouTube, for example). Make sure you click 'Save' at the bottom of the page to save any changes that you make to your profile.

How do I remove a photo from My PuppyLove profile?

How do I change my primary photo?

How do I edit my profile?

You can make changes to your profile at any time. Just click 'Edit' at the top of any page, and select the 'PuppyLove' tab. Here you can change or update your PuppyLove profile. Don't forget to click 'Save' at the bottom of the page to update all of your changes.

How do I change my account information?

You can change your password by clicking on 'Edit,' and selecting the 'Account Settings' tab.You can change your e-mail address my clicking the 'Site Options' tab.

Does everyone learn my contact information once I'm a member?

No. Members receive e-mails, announcements and conversations through PuppyLove at PawPlace.com, but the sender's personal e-mail is not displayed. Please note that you should avoid sending e-mails from your personal e-mail address, using auto-signatures or auto-responders, sending carbon copies, or forwarding messages to yourself.

I'm in PuppyLove! How do I cancel my subscription?

Congratulations...we wish you the best. To cancel your subscription, click on 'Edit,' and select the 'PuppyLove' tab. At the bottom of the page, you can click on 'Cancel PuppyLove,' which will terminate your subscription. You may also unsubscribe to PuppyLove under the 'Account Settings' tab of the 'Edit' section.

CITY GUIDE QUESTIONS

How do I search the City Guide?

On the City Guide page, choose service categories that you would like to browse (hold the control key on your keyboard to choose more than one). Then enter the zip code for the region that you are researching as well as the radius from that zip code, and click 'Browse.'

How do I view detailed information about the services listed in my search results?

Click on any of the names of the services or locations that are displayed in the search results to display the address, contact information, and map of that listing. You can also read reviews of that listing here.

How do I view additional pages of the search results?

If your search returned multiple pages of results, you can click on the numbers along the top or bottom of the listings to go to that numbered page. Click on '...' to display the next set of pages, or click 'Last' to go to the last page of your results. You may also click 'First' to be taken back to the beginning of your search listings.

How do I upload a new service/location to the City Guide?

Make sure that you are signed in as a member. On the City Guide page, click on 'Add Service.' Then fill in the name, description, and contact information for that service. Once you have completed the profile, click 'Save.'

How do I rate a service that is already listed in the City Guide?

Once you find a service listing in the City Guide, you can add a review as well as rate it. Make sure that you are registered and signed in. Click on the listing that you wish to review, and then click 'Add or Change Your Review' near the bottom of the listing. Here you can provide a rating of 1-5 (1=low, 5=high), and write a review of the service or location. When you are done, click 'Insert.'

How do I update information on a listing in the City Guide?

Once you are signed in as a member and find a listing in the City Guide, you may update the information posted if you notice it is out of date. Click on the listing that needs to be updated, then click the 'Edit' button. Here you can update information on the name, address, phone number, website, e-mail, and services provided. When you have entered all of the updated information, click 'Save.'

PET STORE QUESTIONS

What does the Pet Store consist of?

Within the Pet Store are 3 main categories:

Buy a Pet - Search for pets for sale or for adoption.
Sell a Pet - Post pets in need of a home.
Breeders Central - Link up with other breeders to find that perfect mate for your pet.

How do I search the Pet Store?

The Pet Store allows you to search for a new pet to purchase or adopt. Click 'Buy a Pet,' fill in the search criteria, and click 'Search' to display your results. You can also select 'Browse all Pets' to display all.

How do I upload pets for sale?

Once you are signed in, click on 'Pet Store,' and then select 'Sell a Pet.' You will then be prompted to fill in the information and description of your pets for sale, along with your contact information. You may also upload an image of the pet(s). Once you have entered all of the information, click 'Add,' and your pet(s) will be added to the Pet Store for purchase or adoption.

Yes. If you are not yet a member, click 'Register' on the main page to create an account. Once you are a member, you will have access to the entire PawPlace site, and have the option of subscribing to Slick Pic.

How much is Slick Pic photo customization?

How does Slick Pic auto renewal work?

Slick Pic auto renewal will renew your subscription via recurring billing of your credit card supplied to PawPlace.com on or around a 30-day cycle, based on the date that you originally joined.

How do I sign up for Slick Pic?

Click on the 'Slick Pic' link at the top of any page, and then click on the 'Sign Up Now' button.

OK, Im signed up. Now how do I get started?

Click the Slick Pic link at the top of any page to be taken to the Slick Pic introduction page. Here, you will have the option of creating a new Slick Pic or uploading an existing Slick Pic.

How do I create a new slick Pic?

Click the 'Slick Pic' link at the top of any page, and then click 'Create new Slick Pic.' This will take you to the Slick Pic stage, where you can upload a photo, and start customizing it with icons and text.

How do I upload a photo onto the Slick Pic stage?

Click 'Slick Pic' at the top of any page, and then click 'Create new Slick Pic.' Select the 'Upload Photo' button, which will allow you to browse your computer for your photo. Once you have selected the photo that you wish to customize, click 'Upload File.' Note: by clicking 'Upload File,' you agree to the associated Terms set forth on the Slick Pic page. You will now see your photo appear on the Slick Pic stage. Note: At this time, only 'landscape' oriented pictures will display properly in the Slick Pic box. 'Portrait' oriented photos will display, but the image will be zoomed in to meet the borders of the box, which will result in cropping out some of the original photo.

How do I turn my regular snapshot into a Slick Pic?

Once you have uploaded your photo (see 'How do I upload a Photo onto the Slick Pic Stage?' above), you are ready to begin customizing it. On the left side of the stage, you will see text boxes and thought bubbles. On the right side, you will see an array of icons. You can click and drag any of these onto your picture. Some icons will be static, whereas others will incorporate motion when dragged onto your photo. There is also a freehand drawing tool on the lower left side.

How do I add Text Boxes to my picture?

Click and drag a Text Box or Thought Bubble onto your picture. From here you can add text.

Can I alter the Text Boxes or Thought Bubbles on my picture?

Yes. You will see a (+) to make the Text Box/Thought Bubble bigger, a (-) to make it smaller, an (A) to change the font, a color wheel to change the color of the text, and an (x) to clear off of your picture.You can also change positioning by clicking and dragging to just the right spot.

Can I alter the icons that I drag onto my picture?

Yes. Once you drag an icon onstage, you can alter the size and orientation of it by clicking (+) to make it bigger, (-) to make it smaller, or the arrow to rotate it. You can also clear it off the stage by clicking (x).

How do I remove a text box or icon from my picture?

You can remove items by clicking on the (x) when your cursor is over that item, or you can simply drag it to the silver recycle bin on the lower left part of your screen.

Can I add a freehand drawing to my picture?

Yes. On the lower left of the Slick Pic stage, you will see a freehand drawing tool box. Click on the line thickness and color that you would like to draw in, and your curser will turn into that appropriate pencil. You are now free to draw on your picture. You may change the line thickness and color by choosing your desired effects before you start drawing your next item. If you don't like what you see, you can erase your freehand sketch by clicking on 'Clear Drawing' on the lower part of the freehand tool box.

How do I save my Slick Pic?

When you are done customizing your Slick Pic, click 'Save Pic' below the Slick Pic stage. You will be prompted to give your new picture a name, and then you can save it. Please note that each picture requires a unique name in order for you to save it.

How do I retrieve my saved Slick Pics?

You can retrieve your saved Slick Pics by clicking the 'Slick Pic' link at the top of any page, and then selecting 'Open my Slick Pic.' Here, you will see a list of all of the Slick Pics that you created, labeled according to the names that you gave each of them. The Slick Pics are arranged in reverse chronological order, with the latest creations being at the top of the list.

How do I e-mail my Slick Pic?

After you have created your Slick Pic, you can e-mail it by clicking the 'Share' button. If you have not yet saved your pic, you will be prompted to do so here. Click 'Save&Share,' and you will now be able to e-mail your new creation by clicking E-Mail a Friend on the following screen. You may also click 'Cancel' to go back to editing your Slick Pic. Please note that you must save your Slick Pic before you can send it.

Can I share my Slick Pic on social bookmarking sites?

Yes. Once you have created your Slick Pic, click on 'Share.' From here, you can click 'Embed,' which will allow you to upload it to social bookmarking sites and other social networking sites that you may have. After clicking 'Embed,' scroll over the box to see the numerous options for transferring your image.

Can I download my Slick Pic to my computer so that I can upload it to facebook or MySpace, or just print it out?

Yes. Once you are done customizing your Slick Pic, click 'Save.' Once you have named and saved your Slick Pic, click 'Share.' Then you can click 'Send Me JPG' to have the Jpeg file e-mailed to you. From your e-mail, you can download the Jpeg file to your computer.

How do I cancel my Slick Pic subscription?

To stop your Slick Pic subscription, click 'Edit' at the top of any page, and then click on the 'Account Settings' tab. From here, you have several Unsubscribe options. Click 'Unsubscribe Slick Pic' to stop your subscription. Please note that your access to the Slick Pic section will be terminated, effective immediately. However, your PawPlace.com and PuppyLove accounts (if applicable) will remain active. Do Not click 'Cancel PawPlace.com' unless you wish to inactivate your access to the entire site (PawPrint, PuppyLove, Slick Pic, etc.).

How do I comment on a blog at PawPlace.com?

Click on 'Blogs' at the top of your screen to be taken to the blog section. On the right side, click on 'Blogs on this site' for a list of current blog topics. From here, you can select a specific blog topic, and post your comments there.

Do I have to be a member to participate in blogs?

Yes. Only members of PawPlace.com may contribute to blogs by adding posts. If you are not a member, you can register for FREE from the homepage.

What if I don't see a topic that I'm interested in?

Which web browser works best with PawPlace.com?

For optimal viewing, we recommend the latest version of Firefox or Internet Explorer (version 6.5 or later).

I have an updated internet browser, but my display is still off. What can I do?

This is a quick fix! Click on Tools from your browser menu, and select 'Compatibility View.' This should clear up any viewing problems that you may be experiencing.

Why do I sometimes have to sign in again?

If you are inactive on PawPlace.com for a period of time, your session will time-out. Simply sign back in when youre ready to begin browsing again.

What is the difference between the different Unsubscribe options under my Account Settings tab?

Your 'Account Settings' tab (located in the 'Edit' portion of your profile) gives you three Unsubscribe options:

Unsubscribe PawPlace: Inactivates your entire PawPlace.com account (including PawPrint, PuppyLove and Slick Pic accounts, if applicable). Do not select this unless you wish to quit all sections of PawPlace.com. You will not have access to any portion of PawPlace.com if you select this option.

Unsubscribe Slick Pic: Stops your Slick Pic subscription, and terminates your access to the Slick Pic section of PawPlace.com, effective immediately. Your PawPlace.com and PuppyLove (if applicable) accounts will remain unaffected.

Unsubscribe PuppyLove: Stops your PuppyLove account. You will no longer be able to access your PuppyLove account after selecting this option. However, your Pawlace.com and Slick pic (if applicable ) accounts will remain unaffected.
